Happy Friday! I've been under the weather this past week and now that I feel better, a tropical storm is heading our way. So far we've just been getting a lot of rain. Other than that it's been deathly hot here, even more than last year, more humidity, which is the reason for the lack of blog posts. I'm not complaining - I would not trade it for winter/snow, but it's hard when you can barely leave the house wearing anything other than a bathing suit. Plus, fall is my favourite season, as I mentioned in my last post, and it's a bummer that it's too hot to really start shopping for it. I'm kind of over summer clothes, although the sales out there are crazy good. Being sick though the past week, I've been spending a lot of time online shopping and getting inspired again and the piece I keep coming back to is the cami (or slip dress, as discussed in this post), preferably with lace. I love the many different ways you can wear it - on its own, of course, layered under a cardigan... But my favourite way to layer a (lace) cami is over a white tee, which is about the most layering I will be able to do for the next little while. (These Free People tees are great for layering and Madewell is having a sale on these.) I've been going back and forth between the two camis above.
