mint chip

Wildfox Couture makes THE best sweaters.  They're super cozy and oversized and just amazing.  This sweater is lightweight enough to pair with cutoff shorts for the gorgeous weather we've been having.  I love the button details and the distressed look.  We were about to head to the beach but then it started spitting out so we didn't take the chance.  We should've went in the morning or the day before when it was super sunny.  But then it might've been too hot for this sweater and I've been dying to wear it so I was okay with just going grocery shopping and cooking my hubby dinner for his birthday.

Have a great week!

green sweater, lace up shoes

I fell in love with this sweater as soon as I saw it.  I've been buying a lot of neutrals lately, but I looooove colour and this green is beautiful.  I love the distressed look and the bubble sleeves.  I was going to pair it with jeans, but I might have to pair it with cutoffs since the temp is going back up again.  (It actually said it was going to snow today - insert laughing with tears emoji!)

{Jeffrey Campbell Atrium Lace-Up Flat (also here, also love these and these heels);
Free People Elsa Blouse (also here); jeans: 7 For All Mankind (similar)}

I'm obsessed with lace up shoes, but so far have only bought sandals.  So I've been on the hunt for closed-toe ones (you know, because of the snow we're supposed to get ha), but I didn't want to pay a fortune.  (If you want to splurge though, these Aquazzura ones are gorgeous.)  These Jeffrey Campbell ones are quite comfortable and a practical price.  I went with the camel colour because it's one of my favourites for fall this year, but I might have to get the black also.  They'll look great with everything from skinny jeans to dresses.

Happy shopping!

going green

boots: MICHAEL Michael Kors (also here); rings: Free People;
bag (other colours, larger version here), sunglasses: Prada}

This is the third time I bought this Wilfred sweater, this time in a beautiful green.  It seems to be a tradition that I buy this sweater every fall, thankfully they keep coming back with it.  I have it in a beautiful cream with leaves printed on it and a leopard print one.  It's the perfect layering sweater for this time of year because it's so lightweight and this weather is all over the place.  So you can wear it over a long-sleeved shirt for when you need a little coverage, or when it gets colder and you need to throw on a jacket, it's not too bulky.  I might actually buy it in more colours this fall because it's that perfect.  It also goes perfectly with this plaid shirt I recently picked up from ZARA.  I clearly am having a thing for green lately.

fall pastels

{sweater: Topshop; pants: GAP; scarf: J.Crew; Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5-Zip;
boots: MICHAEL Michael Kors (in-store); sunglasses: Prada}

I walked into Topshop and gravitated toward all of the beautiful pastel sweaters.  I love that pastels are a big trend right now because I love the idea of wearing them all year round.  As I've said a million times on my blog, I'm not a fan of wearing all black and because it's almost winter (which I'm also not a big fan of), I think we should be wearing more colour to get us through these dark times.  (Literally.  It's dark when I leave the house and super dark by the time I get home.)  I love the idea of pairing a pastel with another pastel, but I decided to keep it simple and paired it with black pants and grey accessories, which is a nice way of easing into the trend.
