I love a monochrome look, although I never am one to wear all black. But grey on grey, white on white... I love, especially for fall/winter. I've been on the hunt for a while for grey jeans and I found these at GAP and they're super comfortable. I paired them with this grey tee for now, but I'm looking forward to wearing them with a chunky turtleneck. I'm stocking up after the winter we had last year. I just don't want to rush into wearing them quite yet. I'm trying to hold out until December. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

yellow
bracelets: H&M (in-store); Talula Kent Blazer; GUESS Plasmas Pointed-Toe Pumps}
Just a quick post of the outfit I wore yesterday, which I posted on Instagram. I've been waiting to wear these yellow pants and it was finally warm enough. (I have officially stopped wearing my winter boots and puffer coat. I wore this red ASOS coat with this outfit.) Plus, it was a Monday and what better day is there than a Monday to wear bright yellow pants?

baby blue
{sweater: GAP; skirt (old), coat (in-store): ZARA; Talula Kent Blazer;
I'm obsessing over pastels for spring so even though it's not quite spring weather yet (it's actually quite freezing today), I'm finding any way of fitting pastels into my wardrobe. I think this GAP sweater is such a beautiful colour. It goes with so many things. It's lightweight so you can still wear it when it starts to get mild out. I bought this ZARA snow leopard skirt a year or so ago, but love this Parker Fawn Siberian Snow Leopard Print Dress. I think it would look great with some pastel pumps or a pastel cardigan. Because this skirt is on the shorter side, I paired it with these adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs kitty loafers. Also, because it's Monday.

clueless
cuff: Chanel (vintage); sunglasses: Prada}
Anytime I see a plaid skirt or dress, I immediately think of one of my favourite movies of all time: Clueless. 'As if.' 'Whatever.' 'You're a virgin who can't drive.' I could watch that movie over and over again and never get sick of it. That's when I fell in love with Paul Rudd. He's now one of my favourite actors. More importantly, that's when I became obsessed with fashion and dreamed of having a closet like Cher's - one where a computer picks out your outfits for you. I actually bought this plaid Topshop dress awhile ago (see here), but this time decided to play up the schoolgirl look by adding a blouse underneath and a blazer. Tights are a must because it's almost below 0. It was actually impossible to take pictures because it was freezing, raining and super windy this weekend. Hence taking them on my front porch.
I have 'Rollin' with the Homies' stuck in my head. Now I have to watch that movie this weekend. Can't Hardly Wait is another favourite. Great, now I want to watch that movie too. Guess I know what my weekend is going to consist of.

pink panther
shoes: Nine West (old, but love these pumps); bracelets: H&M (in-store)}
It was my first day back at work today. It felt like I never left, even though I was on maternity leave for 17 months. I most looked forward to dressing up, of course. I bought these pink GAP pants awhile ago for, I believe, less than $20, maybe even $10. I hadn't worn them yet and I knew they would be the pair of pants I wanted to wear on my first day back at work. Pink is my favourite colour and although it's September, it still feels like August (except in the morning, which is where the blazer came in handy, which is the most amazing, super soft blazer you probably will ever find - I have two different colours). I needed something cheerful and bright to make my return to work a little easier and these pants definitely did the trick. The extra large, double-double, Tim Hortons tea helped too.
