baby blue

{sweater: GAP; skirt (old), coat (in-store): ZARA; Talula Kent Blazer;
Marc by Marc Jacobs Rue Loafers (also here, pink version); necklace: Guess; sunglasses: Prada}

I'm obsessing over pastels for spring so even though it's not quite spring weather yet (it's actually quite freezing today), I'm finding any way of fitting pastels into my wardrobe.  I think this GAP sweater is such a beautiful colour.  It goes with so many things.  It's lightweight so you can still wear it when it starts to get mild out.  I bought this ZARA snow leopard skirt a year or so ago, but love this Parker Fawn Siberian Snow Leopard Print Dress.  I think it would look great with some pastel pumps or a pastel cardigan.  Because this skirt is on the shorter side, I paired it with these adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs kitty loafers.  Also, because it's Monday.

black & white / blue & orange

{sweater: Madewell; skirt: ZARA (last season, love this and this one); clutch: GAP; sunglasses: Prada
cuff: Chanel (vintage); boots: MICHAEL Michael Kors (in-store; leopard version here)}

I wrote about my love of blue and orange here.  I said it was my new favourite colour combo.  Nothing beats fuchsia and orange, but this comes pretty close.  The colour of this sweater is so beautiful and it's super soft and cozy.  Thankfully I also bought it in black because it's a must-have for fall (it's now on backorder).  It's merino wool so it's warm for the cool mornings, but it's also light enough for when the sun does come out in the afternoon.  I immediately thought of pairing this outfit with this clutch I bought this past summer, which I never got around to using because I'm lazy when it comes to holding a clutch.  But I actually didn't find it that much work and the double pop of colour brightened up a gloomy day.

no tights

{sweater (in-store, recent), bracelet: BCBG; skirt: Zara;
booties: MICHAEL Michael Kors (old); sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (old)}

 I get to a point in spring when I'm just done wearing boots, tights, heavy coats... even if they're still necessary.  But this back and forth weather drives me crazy.  So I rebel.  Which is strange because I get SO cold SO easily.  But most Canadians do it - the first sign of warm weather and people start wearing shorts.  At least I'm wearing a sweater and not a tank top.  (If you go downtown Toronto, I swear you'll see someone in a tank top!)  The only thing I might throw tights on to wear is shorts... and that's just because I like that look.
