minty fresh floral two piece

3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Mini Satchel (colour sold out, love these for spring, LOVE this mint one);

I came across this set (pieces sold separately) while I was doing my usual Friday #OOTD post (see here) and purchased it before I had even finalized my blog post.  I fell in love with the colour, print, details.  (I also knew it would go perfectly with my new bag.)  I almost purchased the top alone, but the set is so pretty I had to buy both pieces.  The pieces are so individually unique that I can't wait to mix and match them with other pieces in my closet.  But I wore it as a set for Mother's Day.  (It was in the 90s so we had to re-shoot this outfit a few days later.)  We went for crepes and then to the beach.  It was a great day, but HOT.  But this set was perfect for both brunch and hanging out on the beach.  (You will see that it is supposed to be a crop top, but I have been eating a little too much ice cream lately since it's been so hot so I wore the shorts a little bit higher to create a romper-like vibe.  I do love a romper.  Win-win situation if you ask me.)

sage

sweater: Urban Outfitters (similar here on sale);
sunglasses: Prada}

I have been wanting a Pashli Mini for awhile.  It's perfect for every day.  It's not too small that you can't carry anything in it but it's not too large either.  I fell in love with this colour so I finally pulled the trigger since I was looking for a spring bag and I could not get this one out of my head!  I love that the colour is feminine so it'll look great with summer whites and dresses, but the zippers give it edge so you can dress it down.  I love this colour paired with navy, which is a great alternative to black and perfect for transitioning into spring (and looks great on brunettes!).

Check back later today when I'll be posting my Friday #OOTD!

oversized sweater

    {Wildfox Couture Valley Sweater (now on sale! also here, last seen here);
hat: Urban Outfitters (sold out online, similar here);
ring: Free People; sneakers: Vans; sunglasses: Prada}

Last winter I was still working in an office and wearing, well, work-appropriate clothes.  This winter I've been living in oversized sweaters now that I'm a stay-at-home mom living in the South.  I'm pretty sure I've said it before that Wildfox Couture makes the best sweaters.  Although I can't complain about the weather here in the South, I'm excited it's starting to warm up (April flowers bring spring showers in February? I'll take it!) and I can start shopping for flowy dresses and floral tops.  But I won't be putting this sweater away because it will be perfect for those cool summer nights by a fire or on the beach.

minty fresh (parts 1 and 2)

{blouse, sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (old); jeans: GAP; boots: Sam Edelman (also here);
necklace: Coach (old); 'sweet' affirmation bracelet: BCBGeneration (also here)}

{denim shirt: Marc by Marc Jacobs; jeans: GAP; boots: Sam Edelman (also here); bag: RED Valentino;
bracelets: J.Crew (here and here); sunglasses: Madewell; nails: Covergirl 'lav-endure'}

I am obsessed with these GAP mint skinny jeans.  First I thought of pairing them with this beautiful Marc by Marc Jacobs eyelet blouse I bought years ago for a monochromatic look, which I'm really into these days.  Then a couple of weeks later, I paired it with my favourite Marc by Marc Jacobs denim shirt.  I saw these adorable mint hepcat shades and thought they would go great with these mint jeans.  And, of course, added some pops of pink.
