bella blue

LoveShackFancy Canna Blouse (on sale here, for rent here, budget-friendlier one here, here and here)
Tularosa shorts (old, similar here and here)
LoveShackFancy is coming to Target!!  I'm SO excited!  You can check out the collection here, but it officially drops June 6!  The price point is crazy good (compared to their regular price point) so it'll be hard to pick just one!  Unfortunately, the Target line appears to only be dresses, which is kind of a bummer because I love their skirts and blouses.  I was able to rent this beautiful LoveShackFancy Victorian inspired blouse from Nuuly.  I love the subtle ditsy floral print and, of course, the ruffles and balloon sleeves.  It's so light and airy and perfect for the heat we've been having.  I paired the blouse with white shorts and a pair of jute wedge sandals to keep everything light and summery!

Happy shopping/renting and good luck on June 6!

embroidered maxi top

How gorgeous is this Free People embroidered maxi top?  The colours, the print, the embroidery, the sleeves... I mean, it's perfection.  I had so much fun twirling around in it!  It's so flowy and lightweight, perfect for this time of year.  I've been dying to start dressing for fall and this maxi top is fall in a nutshell.  I love that you can wear it in multiple ways... with shorts or jeans, as a dress (worn with a slip underneath because it's sheer), or as a duster.

I'm now obsessed with maxi tops and Free People has many options to choose from.  I'm eyeing this sheer maxi top, this maxi top, which comes in 4 colours, and this bell-sleeved maxi top.  I was also eyeing this embellished maxi top this past summer and it's now over 50% off!

Happy shopping!

kissed by the sun set

{Free People Kissed by the Sun Set (also comes in blush/red);

I love a set because you essentially get 3 outfits for the price of 1.  I first wore the pieces of this Free People Kissed by the Sun Set together with a pair of Adidas slides and my Lack of Color Boater Hat.  Next I'll be pairing this beautiful embroidered top with denim cutoffs.  I love the wide sleeves, which seems to be the theme of my tops lately.  I'll be wearing these flowy shorts on a regular basis with a simple tee.  You can just pull them on and go.  So there you have it, 3 easy outfits for under $150 (along with pieces you already own).  Of course, you can pair the top and shorts with many other pieces in your closet and get even more out of this Free People set.  You can also dress these pieces up a bit by pairing the top with white skinny jeans and lace-up sandals and pairing the shorts with a black top (or bodysuit) and black wedge sandals.

embroidered daisies

Urban Outfitters Fedora (similar here);
Prada Sunglasses (also here)}

Happy Friday!  A late blog post this week.  Things have been hectic here, with buying a new house and getting ready for our move to Greenville, SC, in less than 3 weeks!  So for the most part I've been living in pjs or tights and a t-shirt.  I finally ventured out and wore this ZARA Top with Embroidered Daisies.  I normally steer clear of black, but there are exceptions to the rule: frills and embroidery are a couple of them.  The back bow fastening sealed the deal (as well as the under $40 price tag).  I paired this embroidered top with my now favourite AGOLDE cutoffs (so comfy!) and Adidas slides.  I love pairing stripes and floral together and these slides make it effortless.  I wear them with floral dresses, shorts, etc.

Speaking of embroidery (and ZARA), I am obsessing over this ZARA Limited Edition Embroidered Parka so much that I almost wish it was still cold here (almost).  And speaking of embroidered jackets, I also love this 7 For All Mankind Trucker Jacket.

Below are some other embroidered pieces I've been eyeing (click on the items to shop!).  (I own the Free People embroidered jacket (center) in white (see post here) and love it!  It also comes in red.)

Happy shopping!

levi's & old skool vans

Free People Kimono (old);
Urban Outfitters Fedora (similar here);

A quick post today.  We're back from a 48 hour+ trip to Canada and I am exhausted.  It was so great to see our friends and family that we have not seen in a year or two!  Before we left, it was gloomy and cooler here in Myrtle Beach, which I feel prepared me for the weather in Canada ha.  I had purchased a couple of pairs of jeans for spring back in late February and finally had a chance to wear them.  Along with breaking in a pair of MIRANDA + MOTHER The Super Stunner Ankle Jeans (see post here), I also broke in these Levi's Wedgie Straight Jeans.  (If you're looking for a high-waisted pair of jeans, I would recommend either pair of jeans.)  I paired these Levi's Wedgie Straight Jeans with a pair of Old Skool Vans.

spring mules #inspo

mules

I've been looking for the perfect pair of mules for spring.  I'm obsessing over these gorgeous Gucci Princetown New Flora Mules (or these pink ones, or these rose-print ones).  With a pair of mules this gorgeous, I would pair them with cropped flared jeans to really show them off, an off-the-shoulder top (I love pairing stripes with florals), a pair of sunglasses and a pretty bag.  And would wear this outfit on repeat.

embroidered booties

{Ash Heidi Embroidered Booties (they also come in black);
FP Beach Dress (similar here and here and pair this lace slip with a sweater for a similar look!);
Free People Denim Jacket (last seen on the blog here, similar here);
Brixton Dalila Hat (colour I'm wearing sold out);
Prada Sunglasses}

One of my must-haves for fall (see my list of must-haves here) is a pair of booties.  They go with pretty much everything so you can never go wrong splurging on a new pair.  Since I have plain black and brown booties covered (I would start with those), I decided to get a 'fun' pair.  These Ash Heidi Embroidered Booties were exactly what I was looking for.  The embroidery is delicate and not overpowering, but takes this lace sweaterdress and denim jacket combo up a notch.  As they will basically any 'basic' outfit.  How cute are the butterflies on the back?  These are seriously one of the prettiest pair of booties I have ever seen.  Bonus: the heel is not too high, but still gives you some height.

These embroidered booties will look great with skinny jeans and cropped jeans (I'd pair them with a chunky knit), skirts (this denim one, for ex.) and dresses (this striped one, for ex. - I love mixing prints).  Embroidery is a huge trend for fall and below are a few of my other favourites:

Free People Sweet Tennessee Embroidered Mini Dress (perfect for holiday parties!)
BLANKNYC Embroidered Faux Leather Moto Jacket
Tularosa Mara Embroidered Satin Bomber Jacket (a bomber jacket is also on my must-have list for fall!)
Joe's Jeans Bella Jean Jacket
GRLFRND x REVOLVE Helena High Rise Straight Jean
Ulla Johnson Embroidered Suede Aggie Booties

(P.s. the pictures are a bit grainy because we're using our old, old camera because I dropped and broke our new lens!  Our other lens that came with our new camera is currently being fixed because it stopped working.)
