friday find: puffy sandals

Happy Friday!  I've been on the hunt for a pair of slide sandals and noticed the puffy sandal trend is going strong.   These Vicenza Puffy Double Knot Slide Sandals at Anthropologie, above, are so pretty!  They come in 4 different colours.  The yellow ones are so bright and cheery, but the white ones would go with everything.  Vicenza also has a puffy sandal in a slingback style (the blue ones are so pretty), a flip-flop style (additional colours here and under $100!) and a wrap style in black.

I also love these puffy slide sandals by The Odells, which also come in 4 colours, but I am, of course, partial to the pink ones!  These lilac Villa Rouge Maddox Puffy Ruched Sandals are also really pretty.  They're also available in silver metallic.  I love the colorblock style of these R0AM Puffy Slides.  I love the caramel colour of these Loeffler Randall Puffy Leather SlidesThese tangerine Schutz S-Fairy Slides are a fun colour and under $100!

friday find: slide sandals with pearls

Happy Friday!  Today's find are these gorgeous slide sandals with pearls from ZARA.  I received them the other day and love them!  I'm normally a 5.5 in sandals, but usually wear a 5 in ZARA.  They fit perfectly and feel comfortable, although I have yet to wear them.  They'll look great paired with anything from khaki shorts to floral dresses.  The best part is that they're under $50!

UPDATE: I have worn these sandals a few times and they are very comfortable!

summer sandals

summer sandals

Summer is just around the corner!  As a stay-at-home mom I'm partial to slides since you can just slip them on and go.  I'm obsessed with these Marc Jacobs Daisy Aqua Slides (second from right).  I love the daisy appliqués.  I'm also partial to white sandals.  They're so fresh.  These MICHAEL Michael Kors Sonya Embellished Leather Sandals (bottom, second from left) are also very pretty.  If you prefer a black sandal, these Ancient Greek Clio Pearls Leather Sandals (bottom, second from right) are simple, but the pretty pearl embellishments elevate them.  If you're looking to add some colour, these peach RAYE Sashi Sandals (bottom left) will add a pop to any outfit.

multicolored knit & tassels

{ZARA Strappy Multicolored Top (matching shorts here, which I also bought and love);
One Teaspoon Junkyard Skirt (other colours);
TOPSHOP FALCON Buckle Sandals (8 different styles!);

My last post was a bit of a downer so I'm perking things up with some colour, or actually a lot of colour!  This ZARA Strappy Multicolored Top is so fun with all of the colours and the tassels make it unique.  There are matching knit shorts (so comfy!), but you have to buy them separately.  I bought both pieces because I love a set and you get an outfit for under $70.  A set is great when you don't feel like thinking about putting an outfit together.  But I decided to let the top stand out so I paired it with my go-to One Teaspoon denim skirt.  I'm not a fan of Birkenstocks (I find them rather uncomfortable - but I believe you have to wear them in), but these similar Topshop sandals are actually quite comfortable even though they're synthetic, which I normally stay away from.  I love the gold touches!

It's our last full day in Myrtle Beach today!  We close our home tomorrow and then we're off to Greenville, SC, and staying in a hotel for a week before we move into our new home!

Hope everyone has a great week!

How pretty is this Spell romper?  It's super comfortable and hides the fact that I've been eating nothing but junk (the stress of moving)!

kissed by the sun set

{Free People Kissed by the Sun Set (also comes in blush/red);

I love a set because you essentially get 3 outfits for the price of 1.  I first wore the pieces of this Free People Kissed by the Sun Set together with a pair of Adidas slides and my Lack of Color Boater Hat.  Next I'll be pairing this beautiful embroidered top with denim cutoffs.  I love the wide sleeves, which seems to be the theme of my tops lately.  I'll be wearing these flowy shorts on a regular basis with a simple tee.  You can just pull them on and go.  So there you have it, 3 easy outfits for under $150 (along with pieces you already own).  Of course, you can pair the top and shorts with many other pieces in your closet and get even more out of this Free People set.  You can also dress these pieces up a bit by pairing the top with white skinny jeans and lace-up sandals and pairing the shorts with a black top (or bodysuit) and black wedge sandals.

embroidered daisies

Urban Outfitters Fedora (similar here);
Prada Sunglasses (also here)}

Happy Friday!  A late blog post this week.  Things have been hectic here, with buying a new house and getting ready for our move to Greenville, SC, in less than 3 weeks!  So for the most part I've been living in pjs or tights and a t-shirt.  I finally ventured out and wore this ZARA Top with Embroidered Daisies.  I normally steer clear of black, but there are exceptions to the rule: frills and embroidery are a couple of them.  The back bow fastening sealed the deal (as well as the under $40 price tag).  I paired this embroidered top with my now favourite AGOLDE cutoffs (so comfy!) and Adidas slides.  I love pairing stripes and floral together and these slides make it effortless.  I wear them with floral dresses, shorts, etc.

Speaking of embroidery (and ZARA), I am obsessing over this ZARA Limited Edition Embroidered Parka so much that I almost wish it was still cold here (almost).  And speaking of embroidered jackets, I also love this 7 For All Mankind Trucker Jacket.

Below are some other embroidered pieces I've been eyeing (click on the items to shop!).  (I own the Free People embroidered jacket (center) in white (see post here) and love it!  It also comes in red.)

#OOTD / blush & denim

#OOTD / blush & denim

Yay, weekend!  It's been a busy week, we had family visiting from Canada and they left yesterday so I'm a little late with my #OOTD post.  I sometimes have an idea when it comes to my #OOTD posts, based on what I've been coveting that week, but this week it came together quickly as soon as I came across these Derek Lam 10 Crosby slides.  Dying over the them, but sadly the smallest size (6), I think, will be too big on me.  Naturally I paired them with cutoffs since it's too hot to wear jeans, but I have been obsessing over 3x1's crop fringe jeans for a while now.  Again, I think they'll be too long on me, otherwise I would be all over them even though I wouldn't be able to wear them until probably October.  I stuck with the blush vibe and went with this pretty FindersKEEPERS blouse, although I think this Free People bodysuit would be my next choice to keep the focus on the slides (or the fringe detail of the jeans + slides).
