kissed by the sun set

{Free People Kissed by the Sun Set (also comes in blush/red);

I love a set because you essentially get 3 outfits for the price of 1.  I first wore the pieces of this Free People Kissed by the Sun Set together with a pair of Adidas slides and my Lack of Color Boater Hat.  Next I'll be pairing this beautiful embroidered top with denim cutoffs.  I love the wide sleeves, which seems to be the theme of my tops lately.  I'll be wearing these flowy shorts on a regular basis with a simple tee.  You can just pull them on and go.  So there you have it, 3 easy outfits for under $150 (along with pieces you already own).  Of course, you can pair the top and shorts with many other pieces in your closet and get even more out of this Free People set.  You can also dress these pieces up a bit by pairing the top with white skinny jeans and lace-up sandals and pairing the shorts with a black top (or bodysuit) and black wedge sandals.

pretty pink pleats

Pink is my favourite colour and I love a statement sleeve, which I'm pretty sure I've mentioned on my blog a million times, so it was love at first sight when I saw this Anthropologie Luma Peasant Top.  I'm obsessed with the oversized sleeves.  I scrunched up the sleeves to make them even bigger!  This top is flowy and light, which makes it the perfect top for spring/summer.  It'll be my go-to top for the beach, just throw over a bathing suit and go.  I could have dressed it up a bit with lace-up sandals, but we just headed to Broadway at the Beach for a casual dinner and a stroll so I just slipped on my go-to Adidas slides.  This top would also look great dressed up with white skinny jeans.

jen's pirate booty

Tularosa Shorts

Ok, I was bummed at first that I could not start my fall shopping because it's so hot here, but then I came across Jen's Pirate Booty's Summer/Fall Lookbook with the stunning Joanna Halpin.  (My favourite images / pieces from the lookbook are below.  Pictures are NSFW.)  After looking through the lookbook, I wanted to 1) move to Bali and 2) live in every piece for the rest of my life.  So, needless to say, I started to embrace the heat here in the South.  I had a hard time deciding on which piece to buy, but I saw the Casanova Top on Instagram and thankfully scooped up the last one at Planet Blue (I signed up for their emails and received a discount - score!).  The colour of this top is SO beautiful.  The pieces are on the pricier side, but now that I bought one piece, I will definitely be buying more.  So once this top arrived, we headed to the beach and I have to say the weather was perfection.  (Very breezy so it was hard to take pictures - most of my pictures are NSFW as well because of the sheerness of this top ha, but the breeze felt SO nice and this top was perfect for it.)
