friday find: chloé mini bag

Happy Friday!  Today's find is the Chloé Mini Tess Bag.  I came across this gorgeous bag in the latest issue of InStyle Magazine and instantly fell in love.  It's perfect for spring/summer!  I'm also coveting this Chloe Mini Drew Cross Body Backpack.  I love a denim bag and it's SO cute!  I'm also loving this Gucci x Ken Scott Print GG Marmont Super Mini Bag.  The bright floral print is so pretty!

I love a mini bag.  It probably has a lot to do with the fact that I'm so petite, but also because I have had back pain practically my entire life.  I also don't wear makeup and my kids are no longer toddlers so I don't need to carry a lot - my phone, wallet, keys and some lip balm and I'm good to go.  I purchased the Gucci Marmont Super Mini Bag last fall (as seen on the blog here), but I mostly carry my Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini Backpack (as seen on the blog here) because I love having my hands free.  Bonus, mini bags are more budget-friendlier (comparatively speaking).  This Chloé mini bag is under $400!

Happy (mini bag) shopping!

friday find: spring cardi

Happy Friday!  I can't help but be in spring-mode since it's been mostly mild here, along with all the rain we've been getting, so I've been on the hunt for some spring pieces.  This Show Me Your Mumu Good Karma Cardi grabbed my attention immediately.  It's an instant mood booster!  I love a striped knit, bubble sleeves and a pop of colour so this cardi checks off all of the boxes for me.  I would pair this colourful cardi with a pair of cutoffs and white Vans!

Cardigans are the perfect transition piece, if not the perfect piece period.  You can throw them over anything (a cami, a tee, a turtleneck, etc.).  I especially love them thrown over a dress, as seen on the blog here and here.

I have found so many pretty cardigans that's it's hard to choose just one!  I love the floral embroidery on this Glamorous Cable Cardigan and how pretty is this pink Glamorous Lace Collar Cardigan?  I love the bold floral print of this '60s-style cardigan by 525 (I can't decide which colour I like better!).  I'm obsessing over this LoveShackFancy oversized cardigan (I love the adorable cherry, strawberry and floral patches!).  There's also a cropped version.  I love the floral print on this LoveShackFancy cardiganThis MANGO Embossed Contrasting Knit Cardigan is super unique and cool.  This pastel yellow cable knit cardigan from ASOS, which is only $40(!), would be perfect for Easter.  I love the delicateness of this ZARA Floral Jacquard Knit Cardigan.  How pretty are the buttons on this ZARA Jewel Bow Button Cardigan?  I love the pompom details on this ZARA knit cardigan and the pretty lilac colour of this ZARA cardigan.  You can never go wrong with a simple ivory cable knit cardigan.  I'm obsessing over this Eleven Six Charlie Chevron Stripe Cardigan, which is not as budget-friendly.

Anthropologie is currently having a sale on tops!  I'm eyeing this floral cardigan, which comes with a removable belt, this ruffled cardigan (the orange colour is so pretty) and this ombré duster cardigan, which immediately makes me think of Easter.

Happy (cardi) shopping!

spring dreaming: floral dress & white boots

I've been cleaning up my photos in my iPhone and came across this outfit, which is probably one of my favourite outfits I've ever worn.  A floral dress, especially a pink floral dress, plus white boots is the ultimate spring outfit IMO.  (A floral blouse & denim shorts is a close second, which is an outfit I wore with these Matisse boots on the blog here.)

This Spell Mystic Midi Dress is so pretty.  Unfortunately, it's from a few drops ago and almost sold out everywhere, but I've linked some other floral dresses below!  (I'm also loving the Mystic Romper, which basically looks like a dress.  I recently purchased this Spell Rae Midi Dress, which I'll share on the blog soon!  I love the ditsy floral print, which is similar to a Madewell dress I've linked below.)

Now onto these white boots.  I had been looking for a long time for the perfect white boots.  I contemplated getting these Dr. Martens 2976 Quad Chelsea Boots, but after being unsuccessful with the fit of these Dr. Martens Jadon Lace-Up Boots, I decided to keep looking, even though I love the contrast of Doc Martens against a pretty, floral dress.  But then I came across these Matisse vegan boots on the Free People site.  I hesitated ordering them at first because they're only $70 and I usually find boots under $100 and/or 'faux leather' boots hard as a rock, but these are very soft and comfortable!  I realized my love for them when I was scrolling through my photos and saw several mirror pics wearing these boots.

Below are some other pretty floral dresses I'm eyeing for spring:

I've created a Pinterest board (which I haven't used in a while but am going to start again) dedicated to floral dresses for spring and will keep adding more as I come across them!

Happy (floral dress) shopping!

pink flare jeans

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day/long weekend!  As soon as I saw these pink Free People jeans, I thought they would be perfect for Valentine's Day (let's be honest, I would've purchased them anyway).  We were planning on heading to a park where we like to hang out, or drive around St. Augustine and head to the beach, if it was warmer, but we had thunderstorms on and off for the past week so we didn't end up leaving the house.

I have always loved flare jeans.  I remember living in a pair of corduroy ones in college.  Most recently, I was obsessed with a pair of embroidered Free People flare jeans, as seen on the blog here, here and here (among many other times).  But once they became too tight on me, it took me a few years to find a pair to replace them.  Also, I had since moved to the States and no longer near my MIL, who used to hem pants for me.  Then I came across these Free People Ray of Sunshine Cord Flare Jeans, as seen on the blog here, which are back in stock (yay!), and could not resist them.  It also helped that because I cut my own hair during this pandemic, I decided I could probably cut my own jeans too, which I did and was quite impressed with myself, ha!  Now I'll never shy away from a flare jean!

Regardless of Valentine's Day, I have a slight obsession with pink so I could not resist buying these pink jeans (although they are more 'mauve' than the bright pink I was expecting).  They are super comfortable.  I paired the jeans with a casual thermal top but, because of my love of pink, I have no shortage of sweaters and tops to pair with these beauties.  I recently purchased this cute Free People tee (now on sale!), which pairs well with them.  If you really love colour like I do, these jeans also go well with this Farm Rio Rainbow Striped Sweater.  I will definitely be living in these pink jeans for the next couple of months (until it becomes deathly hot here in Florida)!

Are you a fan of flare jeans?  If you're not a fan of pink, these flare jeans come in 19 other colours!

Happy shopping!

friday find: crochet sweater

Happy Friday!  How beautiful is this sweater from Anthropologie?  I recently came across it and purchased it immediately.  I have always gravitated to crochet pieces.  (I remember obsessing over this Spell & The Gypsy Collective Crochet top, but unfortunately it was too cropped for me.)

This sent me down a crochet rabbit hole.

I'm obsessing over this Farm Rio Renata Crochet Mini Dress.  I'm loving this Crystal Crochet Skirtall, this Gift of Crochet Top and these Border Crochet Flare Pants, all available at Free People.  This multicolored, striped Free People crochet sweater, as well as this white crochet sweater, are on sale at ASOS!  This Sea Farrah Crochet Sweater is also on sale (and also comes in pink!).  How cute is this ZARA crochet bag?  I love the ruffles!  Or these bags from Urban Outfitters?  I'm also eyeing this crochet robe.

This Tularosa Ohana Crochet Cardigan is so pretty and perfect for spring.  This Lovers + Friends Flower Power crochet skirt would make a great beach cover up (there's also a matching crop top!).

Happy (crochet) shopping!

red coral

Matisse Vegan Ranch Boot (available in 4 colours)

I wore this outfit on Christmas Eve and I realized it's more of a Valentine's Day outfit so I held off on posting it ha.  All of my 'festive clothing' were for colder weather and I was not expecting it to be so mild that day.  Not that I was complaining!  This Spell & The Gypsy Collective Love Story Blouse is so pretty!  It's perfect for Valentine's Day.  I mean, it's called the Love Story blouse for a reason!  As I said in my Valentine's Day edit (and a few other times on the blog), I love mixing red and pink together.  This red coral blouse does the mixing for you!  Pair the blouse with the matching skirt for an extra romantic look, or keep it simple with a pair of jeans.  This pretty print also comes in a boho dress and a strappy midi dress

I paired the blouse with my pink Lack of Color hat because it's pretty much the only hat that I wear these days, but I love that it brings out the pink in the blouse.  To keep the outfit on the lighter side, I paired the entire outfit with these very comfy, white Matisse Vegan Ranch Boots that I purchased at Free People, which are under $100!

Happy shopping and Happy Valentine's Day!

friday find: knit joggers

Happy Friday!  We had a gorgeous day on Sunday, followed by chilly, rainy weather.  It's supposed to rain for another week (boo).  So of course all I want to do is cozy up in some knit trousers and cuddle up on the couch.  How cozy do these MANGO knit trousers look?  They also come in heather grey.  (You can purchase the matching sweater here.)

Happy shopping!

cable knit sweater

Line + Dot Jasper Fringe Sweater (also here, also available in ivory and charcoal)

I love a good cable knit sweater.  I purchased this Line & Dot Jasper Fringe Sweater in ivory a couple of years ago, which I wore on the blog here, which is still available (linked above!).  This year, I came across it in this pretty amber brown and couldn't resist buying it.  It's currently on sale!  My favourite part of this cable knit sweater is, of course, the fringe details.  It's a heavy knit, which keeps you warm, but because it's a cable knit sweater and has no wool in it, it's cool enough to wear in Florida (although it's cooled down quite a bit - again).  Line & Dot has also made a dress version!  525 makes a similar sweater in navy.

I paired the cable knit sweater with these amazing Madewell high rise skinny jeans, which I have been living in.  They are SO comfortable.  My natural instinct was to pair the outfit with brown accessories and boots, but I wanted the sweater to stand out so instead paired it with my Lack of Color Noir Rancher and black Dolce Vita Chelsea boots.

Other cable knit pieces I'm coveting:

FRAME Sofia Sweater (love the ruffles!)
Line & Dot Bailey Oversized Cable Knit Sweater (a cable knit in pink? yes, please!)
Free People Honey Cable Pullover (love the contrasting sleeves!)
MANGO Contrasting Knit Polo (love the pastel colours)
ZARA Jewel Button Cable-Knit Cardigan (love the pretty lilac colour)
Anthropologie Joanie Cable-Knit Cardigan (love it in bright yellow!)

Happy (cable knit) shopping!
