patchwork maxi top

I spoke about my love of patchwork on the blog here.  I love the patchwork on this Free People California Soul Printed Maxi Top (or midi dress, as it's referred to on the Shopbop site).  It's quite sheer so it's perfect as a beach coverup.  I threw it over a Free People FP One Adella Bralette and a pair of AGOLDE cutoffs.  You could also wear a slip underneath, or this Free People Everyday Bikeshort Romper.  It's a super lightweight chiffon material and floats with the slightest breeze, but with the long, balloon sleeves, this maxi top can take you from day to night.

the white dress

I'm sure I've mentioned many times on the blog that I love wearing white all year round (J.Lo wearing a white winter coat in Maid in Manhattan was the game changer for me - almost 20 years ago!), but there's just something about putting on that white dress for the first time of the spring/summer season.  I'm sure I've also mentioned my love of embroidery many times on the blog and I just recently shared my love of patchwork here.  This Free People Louisa Patchwork Mini Dress checks off all of the boxes.  The embroidery on this dress is what first drew me in.  It's not until I received the dress that I really noticed the delicate embroidery on the sleeves and shoulders.  It's so pretty!  The patchwork is subtle, but adds some texture to this ivory dress.  It's a great dress to just throw on and go (I've actually done this when I realized I had 10 minutes left to pick up materials from my kids' school and I was still in my pjs).  It's also the perfect dress for grabbing a bite to eat or running errands.  It's unfussy, but you look put together.  It'll also be perfect for those breezy beach days.  The gauzy material is so light and airy!

Speaking of gauze, no one does gauze better than Jen's Pirate Booty.  I'm loving this Jen's Pirate Booty Hidden Valley Tunic.  No matter what style you are looking for, there are so many beautiful white dresses to choose from.  This Free People Natural Element Midi Dress and this ZARA Topstitched Midi Dress are effortless.  I love the bow details on this Show Me Your Mumu Sunshine Dress.  I love the crochet details on this Free People Ari Mini Dress.  I love the exposed back and eyelet details on this Free People Mockingbird Maxi DressThis Cleobella Ferris Mini Dress is so sweet (I'm a sucker for eyelet!).  I'm coveting this cut-out Tularosa Colleen Mini Dress and this embroidered eyelet For Love & Lemons Serena Mini Dress (another eyelet stunner!).

Speaking of embroidery, last month, I purchased this ZARA Embroidered Midi Dress (there are only a couple of sizes left!).  I love the contrasting embroidery detail on this ZARA Embroidered Midi Dress and the blue florals on this ZARA Openwork Embroidered Floral DressThis Free People Dewdrop Maxi Dress is stunning.  I love the pop of color on this Sundress Poly Dress!

patchwork

When I first saw this dress on the LoveShackFancy site, I thought it was one of the most gorgeous dresses I had ever seen!  So when I saw it on sale at Net-A-Porter, I couldn't believe my luck that my size was still available!  (There are a few sizes left!)  The patchwork is SO pretty.  I love the mixed floral prints and the touch of gingham.  I love the pops of pink!  This beautiful dress is made of silk so it's really light and flowy.  You can't help but twirl around wearing it!  I had also just finished watching Bridgerton the night before so that probably had something to do with it, ha.  Of course, I paired it with my pink Lack of Color hat!

I'm always drawn to patchwork pieces.  I just ordered this Free People Patchwork Top, which is quite similar to this dress, but more casual.  I'll be sharing this Free People patchwork mini dress on the blog soon!  I'm coveting these Free People patchwork-inspired harem shortsThis Bliss and Mischief Patchwork Denim Mini Skirt is so cute.  How pretty is this Sea Patchwork Quilted Top, or these Olivia Rubin patchwork pantsThis English Factory Patchwork Babydoll Dress would be perfect for a picnic!  I'm loving this patchwork eyelet kimono and this patchwork print midi skirt from Urban Outfitters.

Happy (patchwork) shopping!
