neon pink oversized sweater

{ZARA Oversized Sweater (sold out online, love this one, this one's on sale!);
FRAME Le High Skinny Jeans (old, love these);
Urban Outfitters Hat (similar here);
Prada Sunglasses}

Well, that escalated quickly.  It cooled down quite a bit this weekend, but I was happy to pull out this neon pink, super cozy, ZARA oversized sweater.  It sadly appears to be sold out online, but check your local ZARA since I just purchased it two weeks ago! Pink is still, after many years, my favourite colour, especially in fall/winter because it brightens up my mood since I do not like cold weather.  I paired this neon pink sweater with grey FRAME skinny jeans and VANS to run some errands.

Do you prefer brights or darker colours for fall/winter?  If you prefer the latter, then you might love this ZARA grey oversized sweater.

Happy shopping!

per(faux)rated

{skirt: Free People; sweater: Nasty Gal; booties: MICHAEL Michael Kors;
fedora: Urban Outfitters; sunglasses: Prada}

I bought this white skirt from Club Monaco a little while ago, which I loved, but it's wool and I was worried about the maintenance, so I sadly returned it.  So the search continued for a winter white skirt.  (I buy one every few years and the one I had desperately needed to be replaced.)  I was so happy I came across this one on the Free People site because it's faux leather and low maintenance.  It's perforated, which adds a cool texture.  It sits a bit high (on me) so either I have to tuck a top in, or pair it with something cropped.  My first thought was to tuck in a black sweater, but I was not feeling the tucked-in look (maybe it has something to do with the fact that I've been sick all week) so I went with this cozy Nasty Gal cropped turtleneck.  I was wishing I had a black cropped sweater, but I like how the grey softens up the look.  (However, I will be picking up this MINKPINK sweater for next time, just in case it doesn't feel like a tuck-in kind-of-day again.)

marled snowflake

 {Madewell Marled Turtleneck Sweater; jeans: GAP; sneakers: Vans; hat: Urban Outfitters;
ring: Free People; sunglasses: Prada}

Another day, another cozy sweater.  I probably had every sweater in my online shopping cart from Madewell, but decided on this one (plus two shirts with hearts on them that I couldn't resist).  I love the unique cutouts on the sides and it just looked so cozy (and it is!).  I love the look of marled sweaters.  This colour is called 'Marled Snowflake' which I didn't notice before I paired it with white jeans.  Something about this sweater though just made me think of snow.

falling for . . . wedge booties and beanies

{sweater, beanie: Free People; jeans (similar): 7 For All Mankind; rings: Gorjana;

It's beanie weather!  (So much for not wearing chunky sweaters yet.)  I love a good beanie, or toque as we Canadians call it.  I have a collection of them.  I also have a collection of wedges.  I cannot resist a wedge anything... sandal, boot...  I'm petite so I prefer to have some height, but also prefer comfort so wedges are the perfect solution.  I definitely have more wedges than any other type of shoe or boot in my closet.  I love these MICHAEL Michael Kors ones.  They're fairly high but very comfortable.  They also come in an olive green, which I'm debating getting too because they're too good.

tweedy

This sweater is everything.  Because I'm petite I could get away with wearing it as a dress (almost), but I'll be living in it with skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots.  That's pretty much my uniform for when it starts to get really cold.  This sweater could also be dressed up for work.  It's super cozy and, well, just perfect.

coral

{sweater, pants: GAP; bracelet: J.Crew (old, similar); necklace: Coach (old);
boots: MICHAEL Michael Kors (in-store, similar); sunglasses: Prada}

It has been so cold that I have worn pants all week, except on Tuesday, which was the coldest day of them all.  All I want to do is stay snuggled up in bed, so the closest thing to that is wearing a cozy sweater that feels like a blanket.  (Not quite the same, I know.)  I love this sweater from the GAP.  The colour is gorgeous!  It comes in 7 different colours and seeing as it's so cold, I'll have to pick up a few more.  (The blue one is also gorgeous!)

marled

{sweater: M for Mendocino (love this Madewell one); skirt: Wilfred Free;
jacket: Anthropologie (in-store, love this one); boots: MICHAEL Michael Kors (in-store);
necklace: Coach (old); sunglasses: Prada}

Today there was snow on my car that actually had to be removed for me to drive it.  Snow!  Sometimes we don't even get snow for Christmas so it was a bit surprising to see first thing in the morning.  And it was freezing cold.  Needless to say, it was the absolute perfect day to wear this cozy turtleneck sweater I picked up for approximately $40.  Although I love this sweater paired with this military jacket, it was so cold that I had to replace it with a much heavier winter jacket (this picture was taken on the weekend).  It's safe (and sad) to say I'm not wearing this jacket again until March... or even April.  It's officially time to say goodbye, fall (if I haven't yet already).  Our time together was short and I'll miss you.  But it's just that much closer to spring!

Below is a picture I posted on Instagram earlier today to show how pretty this sweater is (it was too cold to step off my front porch without a jacket!).  It's one of those I-can't-believe-it's-only-$40 kind of sweaters!
