floral tunic & OTK boots

{Free People Swing Tunic (similar here, love this cold shoulder tunic and this sleeveless tunic
- just add a cardigan!);
Stuart Weitzman The Lowland Boot (budget-friendly ones here);
Urban Outfitters Fedora (similar here);

If you get into a wardrobe funk like I do in January/February, Who What Wear's 30-Day Winter Wardrobe Challenge is here to help.  Some 'challenges' (i.e., tucking in your sweater) are so simple but make a big difference.  One of the challenges was to pair a feminine dress with over-the-knee boots.  I've worn this Free People tunic (which on me is a dress) on the blog here (paired with black booties and a boyfriend cardigan), here (paired with gladiator sandals), here (paired with chunky socks, wedge boots and a chunky cardigan) and here (paired with black booties and a purple fedora).  Four different ways of wearing one piece.  Now five.  I was surprised I had yet to wear this Free People tunic with over-the-knee boots and, although this tunic is one of my favourites, this 'challenge' made me excited to pull it back out again.  It's all about making those small changes and you can make an old favourite feel new again.

#OOTD / blushing

#OOTD / blushing

Happy Friday!  It's been a lazy week this week with my hubby being away and the on and off rainy weather we've been getting.  So what better way to end the week with a head-to-toe pink outfit.  This #OOTD combines two things I love most when it comes to fashion: pink and monochrome.  I am obsessing over these Milly Trapunto Trousers!  (I also love these pink pants from ASOS and these Joe's Flawless Icon Ankle Skinny Jeans.)  This Topshop Oversize Turtleneck Sweater would go perfectly with these pants.  It looks SO cozy.  A cream turtleneck sweater would be my next choice.  Camel also looks great with pink.  J.Crew is currently having a great sale on sweaters.  I love this camel and pink cashmere turtleneck.  I also love this camel wool turtleneck sweater.  It also comes in burgundy and I love burgundy paired with pink.  Because I'm petite, I would most likely pair these wide-leg pants with heels, but my ideal shoe to continue the ease of this outfit would be to pair them with a pair of pink flats and, of course, adding a pink bag.

Happy shopping!

I love that quote, but in this case I'm looking back at my favourite outfits of winter, 2016.  The first picture is from my most popular post of 2016!  I'm not surprised because that Tularosa faux shag coat is SO gorgeous!  (I'm obsessed with this colourful coat and this beige jacket.  Tularosa makes some killer outerwear.)  It's supposed to get cold this weekend and I'm excited to pull out my shag coat.  We don't get much of a winter here in Myrtle Beach (which is 50% of the reason why we moved here from Canada) so these coats (and sweaters) will be on repeat.  I didn't invest in any more coats this winter because we get maybe a couple of weeks of winter weather (I learned that last year), but I did link some great ones above.  I was looking last night for a faux fur coat because I do love them, but I just ordered some bathing suits instead ha.  Something to motivate me during those January blahs when all you want to do is veg and pig out (well, that's not too far off from what I do most of the year)!  Although this January will go by so quickly since we're putting our house up for sale.  I'm excited for the big changes that are coming up in my life in 2017 (moving from Myrtle Beach to Greenville) and I'm excited to bring you along in my (fashion) journey!  Thanks for following along!!

Happy shopping!
