ugly Christmas sweater

Ok, this sweater is not in the least bit ugly, but it feels very festive and what I'll be wearing over the holidays.  I love the rainbow colours!  I love the slouchy fit, it's very cozy and perfect for lounging around after a big meal.  I paired it with a pair of Levi's Wedgie Straight Jeans, which are currently 50% off!  I couldn't resist pairing this colourful sweater with my new pink Lack of Color hat.  Of course the sweater having pink stripes makes it a no-brainer, but I love pairing red and pink together and the pink hat definitely makes the red stripes pop!

Happy shopping and happy holidays!

the Christmas sweater

{Wildfox Meowy Christmas Sweatshirt (also here, little girls' version here!}

Ah the 'ugly Christmas sweater'.  Although fun(ny) to wear, your Christmas sweater doesn't have to be ugly.  Wildfox makes the cutest Christmas sweaters (see above).  They're great to wear Christmas morning when you're opening up presents, or running around doing last minute Christmas shopping.  Or when you're stuck at home with the flu (which is what happened to me a couple of years ago and I lived in mine).  They're super comfy!

I've been eyeing this adorable reindeer sweater.

You can never go wrong with fair isle for the holidays and this way you can wear it all winter long.  I ordered this one, which looks super cozy but also lightweight for the warmer days we've been having.

These tees are a cute alternative to a sweater seeing as it's supposed to be warmer this Christmas.

Happy shopping!

puffer

{coat: GAP (last season's, love this camo one); sweater: Wildfox Couture;
jeans: 7 For All Mankind; beanie: Free People; boots: UGG Australia; sunglasses: Prada}

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  We spent it at home and are now at the in-laws in the country a few hours east (brr).  As much as I hate the cold, I am sad that we didn't have a white Christmas.  I am happy though that I've avoided wearing a puffer coat and it's almost January.  I even got away with wearing a t-shirt recently (see last post).  But it's puffer weather here (although beautiful) and today I wore my Christmas sweater since I never got a chance to wear it.  But even though it's the beginning of winter, it's almost the beginning of a new year, which means it's almost spring.  And our countdown to Mexico, which I booked a couple of days ago, just in case winter is not kind to us again.

the Christmas sweater

{Wildfox Couture Glowing Lights Jumper; jeans: GAP; boots: Marc by Marc Jacobs (similar);
sunglasses: Prada; scarf: J.Crew; hat: Brian Lichtenberg (turned backwards); bag: Rebecca Minkoff}

I started my 2 week holiday on the 23rd and by the afternoon I had caught my daughter's cold, which turned into the flu by the 24th.  I had the chills and was super weak.  We ate fish & chips for dinner because nobody had the energy to cook, or really eat.  By Christmas Day, all four of us were extremely sick.  After we opened presents, I took a 4-hr nap then had a slice of 2-day old pizza and was in bed by 6:30.  This Wildfox Couture sweater definitely came in handy.  I've basically been living in it.  It's super cozy and warm.  Plus, it's super festive and beats wearing an "ugly Christmas sweater".  The lights actually glow in the dark!
