easy breezy pt II

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We're currently enjoying the beautiful sunshine and relaxing by the pool in Florida.  I did not pack this FAITHFULL THE BRAND top, but only because it's been on repeat and is now in the wash.  The first time I wore this FAITHFULL THE BRAND off-the-shoulder top, I styled it with white jeans and mules (see post here) for what I think is the perfect spring outfit.  For a day at the beach, I paired this easy breezy top with my go-to One Teaspoon denim skirt (last seen on the blog here), sandals and, of course, my Lack of Color hat.  On the way to the beach, we could not resist taking pictures by these beautiful white flowers.  Last month, there were pink flowers in the same area, as seen on the blog here.  We're hoping to take a day trip to West Palm Beach this week and I'm excited to see how everything is blooming there.  We also might make a trip to Charleston later in the week and I'm sure it's beautiful there as well.

Hope everyone has a great week!

easy breezy

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Did you watch the Big Little Lies finale?  SO good.  I had a feeling it was HIM who did those bad things to Jane, but was still surprised how it all played out.  Anyway, besides binge-watching HBO this weekend (I'm also catching up on Girls from Season 4), we spent Saturday outdoors.  It was a gorgeous day.  I've been loving that off-the-shoulder tops are a big trend, but they can be a bit hard to wear sometimes.  Some don't stay put off your shoulders and you feel a bit constricted because you can't move your arms.  This FAITHFULL THE BRAND top is THE perfect off-the-shoulder top because it does none of those things (and it's under $100!).  It's a super lightweight top, stays off the shoulders and is super duper comfortable.  I'm a sucker for anything striped and I love the ruffles and, of course, the flared sleeves.  This top would look great with blue jeans, but stripes + white jeans = spring to me.  I finished off the outfit with these Steve Madden mules, which are the perfect pair of shoes to transition into spring.  Spring/summer also means pulling out my Lack of Color boater hat.

stripes & sunsets

Today feels like Day 182 that my daughter and I have been sick, but it's the first day we're clear of fevers, etc. (so far anyway).  Just in time to enjoy the beautiful weather we started having (again).  We hit the beach on Sunday to get some fresh air (we re-shot the outfit yesterday at sunset because I was finally feeling like myself again).  I wore this Free People Full Moon Tee, which has cape-like qualities, slits on the sides and one slit at the back.  It's a score at under $60.  It's the perfect coverup for the beach.  I paired this striped tee with these amazing (dare I say, my new favourite) cutoffs.  They are SO comfy.  A striped tee + cutoffs is basically my spring/summer uniform.

Hope everyone is having a great week!
