Yesterday started off gloomy and it was raining, but by the afternoon the sun was shining.  It officially feels like spring!  (Until next week, when it's supposed to be closer to 0 degrees again.)  Of course I wore my new Hunter Boots, and I've been wearing this red ASOS coat this week because I'm no longer wearing my puffer coat, but I did not mean to match my umbrella.  But let's just say I planned it that way.

It's still pretty chilly but I'm tired of wearing a toque/beanie.  This floral J.Crew hat is a perfect transition piece.  It also lifts my mood in this gloomy weather.  Although if the temperature drops one more degree, the toque will have to go back on.  I already own a pair of adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs rain boots, but I couldn't resist when I saw these baby blue Hunter boots.  I love the tall version, but I'm petite so they hit my knee, but I managed to track down the short version.  I used to hate when it rained, but once I invested in some rain boots (and a cute Coach umbrella), I now get excited because I get to wear them.  It's a nice change.  Especially when they come in such fun colours.  I know people wear them in the winter but, living in Canada, I'm never giving up my UGG boots.  #sorrynotsorry

I've said it before, I don't mind a rainy day because I get to wear these adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs rain boots!  I'd prefer sunshine and hot weather, but when we were getting a lot of rain a couple (few?) years ago, I thought to myself, 'well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em... and buy rain boots that will make you actually excited when it rains".

Another warm day earlier this week (in January!), although it was raining.  I never used to like it when it rained (for obvious reasons), until I bought these rain boots.  I actually get excited now because I get to wear them.  As soon as I saw them, I had to have them.  Usually the way it is for me when I spot something by Marc Jacobs.  I can almost always tell something is Marc by Marc Jacobs just by looking at it.  It's a fun game I play with my husband when we're shopping.  (A game that I'm not sure he actually participates in.)  It's the fun details that draw me in.  I mean, these rain boots look like they have laces!
