floral tunic

I purchased this Free People Lost In You Printed Tunic last month and have been wanting to do a proper shoot because it's one of those 'I-want-to-twirl-around-in-this' type of tunics/dresses, but I noticed it's selling out quickly everywhere and just wanted to post it up on the blog since I love it so much!  It's completely sold out on most sites, but I did find all sizes available at Dillard's (linked above) and - bonus - it's on sale!  There are also a few sizes left in the darker version here.  This tunic is so pretty!  I love the contrasting floral print and the frilly hem.  It's lightweight, which is perfect for the Florida heat, but it has long sleeves to keep you warm if it's still relatively cool where you live.  Plus, if you're taller, you'll most likely have to pair it with a pair of jeans, or shorts.  I'm so petite and can wear it as a mini dress (most mini dresses are too long on me).

I love a tunic, but I especially love a Free People tunic, as seen on the blog here, here, here (paired with jeans!) and here (a tunic I wore several times on the blog).  I also recently purchased this Free People floral print tunic, which I'll be wearing on my next trip to the beach.  I love the bold floral print!  I love the ruffled collar on this Free People floral print tunic (the 'Tea Combo' is especially pretty).  I love, love, love the emerald colour of this Free People floral print tunic, and I had ordered it, but unfortunately the sleeves were too long on me.  The 'Golden Combo' is also really pretty.  Since it's been quite hot here already, I'm eyeing this sleeveless Free People floral print tunic

If you're looking for a floral print mini dress, this Free People Rosebud Print Mix Mini Dress is so pretty and comes in 3 colours!  (I'm eyeing the red one!)

portobello road set

Lack of Color Zulu Rancher

Happy Friday!  How cute is this Spell & the Gypsy Portobello Road set?  (Items sold separately.)  Along with the Portobello Short Robe, when the second Spell 'Blue Moon' collection dropped, I had eyes on this set.  Of course, the playdress is adorable and was hard to resist.  But I love a romper/jumpsuit, which is what a set paired together essentially looks like, but you can wear the items separately, which is a bonus!  I've been living in these pieces.  I have worn these shorts with this yellow Free People top.  They are so cute.  I love the frills.  You can throw on a basic white tee and still have a super cute 'fit (that's what the kids call it nowadays, right?).  I have also worn the Portobello blouse with a pair of denim cutoff shorts.

dusty pink / strappy maxi dress

I've been eyeing the Spell Hendrix Boho Dress since I saw the Journey campaign back in February.  I love Spell's 'boho' dresses and pink is my favourite colour, but some shades of pink don't suit me so I hesitated buying it.  When I heard SC was slowly opening the parks back up again, I saw this Hendrix Strappy Maxi Dress on the Nuuly site and it was a no-brainer to rent it.  Even though it's not my preferred style, I wanted to give the colour a try.  It's a beautiful dress.  It's flowy and the gold metallic thread shimmers in the light.  You just want to twirl around in it.  (Spell also designed a matching robe, which is still available to purchase here!)

Sure enough, before I wore this dress and was able to properly assess the colour, Spell dropped the Blue Moon collection and I fell in love with the Portobello Road Boho Dress, which arrived today and I cannot wait to wear it!  So, in the end, I most likely won't be purchasing the Hendrix Boho Dress, but was happy I was able to rent this strappy maxi dress.

Happy shopping/renting!

embroidered daisies

Urban Outfitters Fedora (similar here);
Prada Sunglasses (also here)}

Happy Friday!  A late blog post this week.  Things have been hectic here, with buying a new house and getting ready for our move to Greenville, SC, in less than 3 weeks!  So for the most part I've been living in pjs or tights and a t-shirt.  I finally ventured out and wore this ZARA Top with Embroidered Daisies.  I normally steer clear of black, but there are exceptions to the rule: frills and embroidery are a couple of them.  The back bow fastening sealed the deal (as well as the under $40 price tag).  I paired this embroidered top with my now favourite AGOLDE cutoffs (so comfy!) and Adidas slides.  I love pairing stripes and floral together and these slides make it effortless.  I wear them with floral dresses, shorts, etc.

Speaking of embroidery (and ZARA), I am obsessing over this ZARA Limited Edition Embroidered Parka so much that I almost wish it was still cold here (almost).  And speaking of embroidered jackets, I also love this 7 For All Mankind Trucker Jacket.

Below are some other embroidered pieces I've been eyeing (click on the items to shop!).  (I own the Free People embroidered jacket (center) in white (see post here) and love it!  It also comes in red.)

off-the-shoulder frills

Brixton Dalila Hat (this colour sold out, dark brown here);
Prada Sunglasses (also here)}

The calm before the storm.  Yesterday there was a storm coming as we started to take pictures so unfortunately did not get to take many shots of this beautiful ZARA off-the-shoulder top.  Thankfully we did not stick around outside as we received a tornado warning shortly after we got home!  I've always loved ZARA, but they have been killing it this spring with their pretty tops!  All of the ruffles, frilled sleeves, floral prints, etc. you could ask for.  (I also bought this black and white eyelet top and this top with embroidered daisies.)  The frills on this off-the-shoulder top are so pretty and flowy, they just make you want to twirl around.  Of course, I love the off-the-shoulder detail.  As much as I prefer shopping online (trying on clothes in the comfort of your own home, no lines, most of the time your size is in stock, etc.), we're heading to Florida next week and I'm excited to shop at the ZARA now open in Disney Springs!
