#OOTD / cozy cashmere

#OOTD / cozy cashmere

Happy Friday!  Today has been the coldest day we've had this fall so all I can think about is cozying up on the couch by the fireplace in this Keepsake Rendezvous Sweater and these Free People It's a Fine Night Cashmere Leggings.  These Givenchy Shark Lock Wedge Boots (also here in a pale pink suede) and Chloe Nano Drew Shoulder Bag (this tulip red is gorgeous!) would, however, make it less painful to leave the house.

Happy shopping!

#OOTD

cozy cool

Happy Friday!  This week's #OOTD features a sweater or 'jumper' I've had my eye on, but I couldn't decide which colour I love more so I styled them both.  This burgundy colour is so beautiful (also love this and this sweater).  Since it's cropped and has full sleeves, I went with a pair of straight high-waisted jeans rather than a flare.  They're a bit slouchy, which is perfect for the weekend.  I was going to go with sneakers for a more casual look, but I've been eyeing these amazing Valentino booties (budget-friendly pair here and love these).  Plus they would give a petite girl like me some height so I'm not overwhelmed by the voluminous sweater.  And since Valentine's Day is coming up, I went with some heart-shaped pieces and my go-to Prada sunglasses.

neutral

For the cream version, which is the version I originally fell in love with, I paired it with another pair of high-waisted jeans, but in white because I love wearing bright neutrals for the winter.  The boots are a budget-friendlier version of the Valentino ones (they also come in black).  I went with this beautiful Loeffler Randall bag to keep the look clean and added some delicate Gorjana rings, which is my go-to brand for delicate jewellery.

jumper & denim

bracelets: H&M (old); sunglasses: Prada}

It's been raining here for about 5 days straight, but there was just enough of a break for me to go grocery shopping on the weekend.  I was struggling with what to wear.  It's October and raining so I can wear pants now, right?  Wrong.  I left the house and was sweating instantly (TMI, sorry).  So I switched into this romper, which is super comfortable.  Last time I paired it with a kimono (see here), so this time I threw on this denim vest because it does get cold in the grocery store.

jumper

{Free People Take Heart Jumperhat: Urban Outfitters;
Free People Sammy Raw Edge Kimono (this pattern sold out);

OMG I love this jumper.  It is so comfortable and I wish I bought it at the beginning of the summer because it's the perfect piece to just throw on and go.  It looks like a dress so you don't look like a slob, but you really feel like you're wearing pajamas.  It's a great price at $50 and it comes in other colours so I might just have to grab another one myself.  It looks great with my new denim vest, but I opted for this beautiful, lightweight kimono, which is perfect for the cool mornings we've been getting.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

new hat & old jumper

{jumper / overall dress: Velvet (old, love this, this, this and LOVE this one);
tee: Sunday Best (similar here, here and here);
Brixton Dalila Hat in Sand; bracelets: H&M (old); bag: Urban Outfitters; sunglasses: Prada}

I hope everyone had a great long weekend!  It rained on and off but we managed to get to the beach for a short while.  I'm in fall mode though, I think I'm officially done swimming.  I swam more in the past 3 months than probably 5 summers in Canada!  This outfit sums up exactly how I'm feeling these days: ready for fall, but still needing to dress for the heat.  I bought my first Brixton hat recently in blue (see here) and I wanted a nice camel colour to transition into fall with since the pieces I have slowly been picking up are in this colour family.  These hats fit well (they have various sizes, which most hat companies only offer in O/S) and are very reasonably priced.  I have had this jumper for years and I'm not even sure the last time I wore it.  Paired with a striped cropped tee, which will also transition nicely into fall paired with cardigans, etc., I think this outfit scratches my wanting-to-wear-fall-pieces-now itch.

old jumper renewed

{top: Wilfred; jumper: Dolce Vita (old); sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs;
bracelets: H&M; booties, bag (in-store, other colours here): MICHAEL Michael Kors}

My love for jumpers goes hand in hand with my love for overalls, playsuits, rompers... I'm currently obsessing over this Free People paisley printed one.  I've had this Dolce Vita jumper for a long time now (and just recently realized it was made by Dolce Vita, now one of my favourite brands).  When I first purchased it, probably a few years ago, I lived in it all year round.  I was recently organizing my closet and came across it and wanted to wear it again.  But I wanted to make it seem fresh, so I searched for the perfect floral print top since I can't seem to wear anything striped these days without pairing it with something floral (although I am obsessing over the plaid/floral combination trend seen in this Zara blouse).  Today, I was taking my son to his JK orientation and meeting his teacher for the first time so I wanted to look professional, but didn't want to dress up too much.  I'm going back to work on Monday so there will be plenty of time for that.
