Happy Friday!  When I came across this For Love & Lemons Cropped Cardigan on Revolve, I immediately thought it would be perfect for Valentine's Day.  Although I could take Valentine's Day or leave it, I do enjoy browsing all of the online gift guides/shops because I love anything pink, red and/or printed with hearts.  Anthropologie's Valentine's Day Shop is up on their site.  I'm loving this Farm Rio Amore Maxi Skirt, which covers the pink & red and heart print categories, below.  Shopbop has their Valentine's Day Edit up on their site.  This Love You More Necklace or this heart necklace would make a great gift.

 

PINK & RED 

 

I just ordered these Free People flare jeans in 'Pasasena Pink'.  I've been eyeing this pink, plush For Love & Lemons Sweater (I love the open back!) and this pink ZARA Oversized Knit Sweater.  I'm also eyeing this gorgeous pink Tulle Maxi Skirt, which comes in petite sizes, and this pink textured cardigan.  I have also always loved wearing red (my prom dress was red!), although I don't wear it as often as I wear pink.  I'm coveting this red En Saison Babydoll Tiered Top and this Lack of Color Ruby Rancher.  I've also mentioned on the blog, probably many times, that I love pairing pink & red together, especially for Valentine's Day (here I paired pink jeans with a red top and here I paired a pink sweater with a red coat).  This Lovers + Friends Sweater Dress is perfection!  I'm also loving this Colorblocked Cardigan from Anthropologie.

HEART PRINT 

 

I also love anything with a heart print (my favourite pieces being this LoveShackFancy heart-print sweater and this sweater from Urban Outfitters, which I live in still to this day).  I just ordered these LoveShackFancy x Beach Riot shorts because of the patchwork heart detail on the back.  I'm also loving this LoveShackFancy crewneck sweater, which I posted on Instagram.  Also, this LoveShackFancy cropped cardigan.  How cute are these adidas Superstar Sneakers with heart details?  Or these heart printed crew socks from the GAP?  If you want to wear your heart on your... butt, these Free People Be Mine Denim Flare Jeans with heart adorned back pockets are adorable.  I've been coveting this GOGO Heart Pullover, which I learned is made from a company in Canada!  (You can check out their site here.  I could've used one of these wool sweaters when I lived back in Canada!)  LOFT also has some adorable heart print pieces like this Heart Sweater, this Lou & Grey Love Sweater and this Lou & Grey Heart Sweater.  This BedHead Pajamas heart-print pajama set and these Stripe & Stare heart-print lounge pants are so cute.   

 

LINGERIE

 

Last, but certainly not least, if you're looking for lingerie, For Love & Lemons has the prettiest lingerie!  This For Love & Lemons for Victoria's Secret pink underwire bra is so pretty.  I'm loving these Stripe & Stare heart print underwear.  I'm partial to the Free People Adella Bralette, which is not currently available in red, so I'm loving this Adella Cami in Cherry Red.  Of course there's Rihanna's lingerie line, Savage X Fenty.  I'm loving this Linking Hearts Embroidery Lace Bra.

friday find: paisley printed sherpa jacket

 Free People Billie Jacket in Copper Combo

 

Happy Friday!  I love a sherpa jacket.  They're so cozy.  But a sherpa coat in a paisley print?  I'm in love.  This Free People Billie Jacket is SO pretty.  I'm loving this 'copper combo', but it'd be pretty hard to choose between it and the 'indigo combo' one.  It also comes in a cream/ivory ('tea combo').  But now that we've moved to Florida, even though it gets chilly some days, I'm going to skip purchasing a new jacket this winter.  It was too pretty not to share.  I also love that it comes with a hood for added coziness!

Free People has the best flare jeans.  I am obsessing over these velvet ones, especially in pink.  Also, how fun are these floral ones?  I used to own a pair of Free People flare jeans that I was obsessed with.  I wore them on the blog here styled with a striped sweater, here styled with a billowy blouse, here styled with a lace-up top and here styled with a faux shag coat (among many other times).  Unfortunately, they no longer fit :(

But, alas, I found these amazing cord flare jeans to take their place.  They are SO comfy.  (Unfortunately they're out of stock, but I'd keep an eye out for restocks.  I also linked some similar ones above!)  I loved the embroidered detail on my last pair of flare jeans so maybe I was holding out on finding a pair with a little flare (sorry).  (Or maybe it's because I'm petite, but I decided to hem i.e., cut these myself - thanks, 2020!)  I love the color blocked graphic on the back.  They're so unique!  I also love the touch of pink, which means I could pair it with my favourite pink Lack of Color hat.  I paired the flare jeans with a simple thermal top, which I had styled on the blog here with velvet skinny jeans.

It has finally cooled down here in Florida.  We had a cozy Christmas Day but, other than that, it was quite warm over the holidays so I didn't really live in the sweaters I thought I would (not that I'm complaining).  It's going to be a chilly weekend, but this week has been the perfect temperature.  I had to run an errand and was able to finally wear this fuzzy sweater by Free People.  It is SO cozy, but lightweight so it's perfect for the weather we've been having.  Unfortunately the colour I'm wearing is currently out of stock (I've seen it come back in stock so I'd keep an eye out!), but I'm loving the 'Limon' colour. 

 

I'm not a huge fan of putting on jeans on a regular day, let alone over the past year, but I promised myself I wouldn't leave the house in joggers in 2021.  (Cutting out junk food has not been as successful.)  Thankfully, I purchased these Madewell high-rise skinny jeans over the holidays.  They are SO comfy.  They're stretchy, but flattering - a combo I find hard to find in a pair of jeans.  I piled on the pink accessories because I'm a crazy person who loves pink a little too much.  (I've been eyeing these pink Free People slouch boots and I would 100% be wearing them with this outfit.)

Wow, I can't believe it's finally the last day of 2020!  It's been a tough year for most, sadly really tough for a lot of people.  Our year was extra stressful with a move (transfer) from South Carolina to Florida, but I feel so grateful my family is healthy and living closer to a beach definitely doesn't hurt.  Not a lot can clear your mind and help you relax more than a trip to the beach.  I'm very hopeful and excited for 2021!  Not that everything will go back to normal immediately, but there's something about the start of a new year that is always exciting.

Back in 2016 in Myrtle Beach (a place where we thought we would live forever and have now moved twice, which is proof that you never know what the year will bring!), I finished off the year in a velvet cut-out shoulder sweater.  This year, it's in these amazingly comfortable AG High-Rise Velvet Skinny Jeans.  I've always been a big fan of velvet!  (The other day I was channeling my inner George Costanza and rocking head-to-toe velvet, which I posted on Instagram.)  Keeping comfort in mind, I paired the velvet jeans with a thermal top from Free People, which is available in 5 other colours.  It's very oversized so you definitely have to wear something underneath.  I hate wearing bras but this FP One Adella Bralette is very comfortable to wear.  Plus, it's available in 19 colours and is so pretty that you want to show it off!

 

When I came across the AG velvet jeans on the Anthropologie site, the model was also wearing these Dolce Vita Prym Lace-Up Boots.  I was looking for a light-coloured pair of boots at the time so I purchased them as well.  They are so comfy!  I usually am not a fan of anything you have to lace up, I prefer to just slip on and go, but these boots have zippers on the side so they're super quick to slip on!

Ok, this sweater is not in the least bit ugly, but it feels very festive and what I'll be wearing over the holidays.  I love the rainbow colours!  I love the slouchy fit, it's very cozy and perfect for lounging around after a big meal.  I paired it with a pair of Levi's Wedgie Straight Jeans, which are currently 50% off!  I couldn't resist pairing this colourful sweater with my new pink Lack of Color hat.  Of course the sweater having pink stripes makes it a no-brainer, but I love pairing red and pink together and the pink hat definitely makes the red stripes pop!
